Marc Bamuthi Joseph

Marc Bamuthi Joseph writes for the stage in a variety of ways: spoken word poetry, opera librettos, and even TED talks. His opera libretto, We Shall Not Be Moved, for which Daniel Bernard Roumain composed the music, was named one of 2017’s “Best Classical Music Performances” by The New York Times; the same year, Joseph became a TED Global Fellow. He is also Vice President and Artistic Director of Social Impact at The Kennedy Center.
